The company offers two modular bases -- mules $130.00 with a 2½-inch heel and sandals $125.00 with a 1½-inch heel -- in three colors, nude, black and mist blue.

The Tops, called Looks, are offered from five collections -- Jackie, Marilyn, Elsie, Billie, and Tilda -- which are appropriately named after style icons and channeling each of those amazing women personal style. Each top is reasonable priced at about $45.00. Mixing and matching tops and bases can create more than 65 combinations, according to the company founders.

Here is how it works: The tops are secured to the desired base of the shoe by a snap on the sole near the heel.

I personally like the black mules. They are elegant and comfortable, thus perfect to switch from day to evening wear especially if you are on the road.
