Confessions of a Polyvore-Addict

I am very excited as I just completed my 30 sets collaboration with Lattori. It was a very interesting project, to say the least. But what made it truly special was that it coincided with my own Polyvore anniversary. If you've ever visited this blog you know that I am a #polyvore-addict and very, very happy at it.

People often ask me what exactly is polyvore. Unless, you have lived on Mars for the last 10 years and thus have no social media accounts, you must have come upon a clothing collage in your stream of "new posts" from your social media friends and favs. Odds are many of those were created on polyvore. Myself, I found Polyvore two years ago because of some of those collages that puzzled me, but at first I quickly dismissed the platform as something "not for me". Well I was very wrong. Last January I logged back to my account (which I had not used at all) by pure coincidence and got totally hooked on the program.

What I had failed to realize the first time around was the 'actual' potentials and versatility of Polyvore. Apart from a possibility to paste together a bag, a pair of shoes, pants/skirt, and a top, Polyvore is a truly amazing social commerce platform with limitless possibility for both creative expression and interaction with hands-down the most involved, knowledgeable, and dedicated social media community in any social media around. So, I got truly addicted in aaahhh ... three days. The end result: one year later, over 69K #followers, hundreds of #sets made, and millions of sets from other #polyvorians viewed -- I am convinced that Polyvore is the future of targeted social commerce.

I big thank you to all of my #poly-friends and partners and if you have not tried it yet ... well no excuse, Hun. Here is the #link to start.

P.S. And if you are a #fashionblogger or aspiring to be one soon -- and you are not on polyvore -- well ... I leave it for another post. (Spoiler alert: you need to do some research ...)
