You go FLOTUS! Melania Trump proves that she can pull the 'all-American-girl' look and do the work also

Leave it to a devastating natural disaster (no! I don't mean the media and its political pundits) to show us Melania Trump's true colors. While social media, wanna-be fashionistas, and the left went onto overdrive over her Manolo Blahnik stilettos (yep!those ones ...

FLOTUS pulled her most assertive and daring fashion move to date. First, on 30 August 2017 she emerged from AirForceOne wearing the most vanilla of all outfits -- black skinny jeans, aviators sunnies, Adidas sneakers, and a crisp white shirt -- but then made sure to put an exclamation point to it: a FLOTUS baseball hat.  

Predictably, the Media and the fashion world went crazy. They did not like the outfit and the FLOTUS hat grated at them to no end. Why? Perhaps, because Melania Trump called their bluff.

Then, on 2 September 2017 Melania Trump trolled the Media and the Left once again. Undeterred and defiant, she shlepped through soggy grass and puddles wearing Ralph Lauren dress and Manolo Blahnik snakeskin mile-high pumps on her way to board AirForceOne:

And then in another crushing blow to all her detractors, she again changed on board and went on her way to visit Hurracaine Harvey survivors in the ultimate All-American-Girl outfit: denim shirt, jeans, baseball hat, and yes! Converse. YOU GO GIRL!

Apart from showing spunk, it seems like by stepping out of her comfort zone, Melania Trump was also finally able to connect with people and showed that she is a caring and warm person (understandably something she had been unable to convey effectively during limited appearances at rallies and speeches)

While of course, she looked stunning every step of the way; but we expect nothing less from our FLOTUS.

The unintended consequence of those few Texas/Louisiana trips will undoubtedly be the resurgence of the baseball cap as the IT fashion accessory of this Fall and countless seasons to come. Give them a week and everybody who thing that she/he is somebody will be replicating the Melania-All-American-Girl look. The good news is that we can afford to follow suit ...
