Perhaps the bright and attention-grabbing coat may have been an odd choice in the void. When measured against the event and the message, I think it was a clever ploy to divert the masses' attention to the fashion statement and put the speech in the background as a white noise. Our First Lady has been and will continue to be scrutinized for anything she does, but I don't think that bothers her one bit. She is a former model after all. You know, once a model always a model ... So gawking, judging, and snapping pictures as she walks to and from Air Force One, is just what she did or aspired to do all her life: modeling.
She is, however, painfully uncomfortable as a public speaker and whoever is selecting the topics of her short speeches really, REALLY sucks. As if they are dangling her as chum ... in twitter bloody waters

Now, the Delpozo coat is just gorgeous .... so are the pumps. The politics that go with them, I don't know about.

So, today Melania Trump departed on a solo trip to Canada where she will lead the U.S. delegation at the #InvictusGames. And sure enough she took refuge away from color and back to what worked well on her last foreign trip to Europe. She dusted off (ok not literally) a gray houndstooth @Dior culotte suit.
