June is by far the weddings galore month. And if any of my friends are like the rest, beach-side casual-but-elegant affairs are in vogue for this season. Now, confession is in order: I hate fluffy pastel little frocks, so when I am looking for something to wear to such a sea-side reception I'm looking for something with a bit of an edge that I can wear time and time again for various other occasions. Project Decorate Take one: Screened outdoor area a la the Hamptons
I am ready with take one on my friend's new-home-fixer-upper remodel project. (you can see the original post for the back story) Surprise, surprise! there are complications with escrow, title etc., so my friend is having her hands full, but she is in love with the idea of turning the house into her dream home. It is hot and at time truly oppressive outdoors, especially with humidity being higher than normal in So Cal. I was in downtown this morning and literally I thought the asphalt was melting under my heels. Best Trends of Resort 2016: Edgy Black
The Resort 2016 collections are piling up and this year it is a mixed bag for me. I love a ton of them but there were some dud from people I did not expect. Oh well there is always Fall to look for, Right?!!
One trend that I do love from the Resort 2016, however, is the edgy black for summer (sorry but I had to throw in that black and white number from Philipp Plein ... it is just awesome). Leather or rigid silhouette lines paired with lace, quilted, crochet, and see-through elements —short hemlines but all done up to the neck .

Glamour by the pool
Pool season is upon us, at least here is So Cal, so it got me thinking of supermodels uber cool photo shoots, fabulous swimsuits, luxury hotels, getaways ... in essence everything you want to have and do if you were on a dream vacation, let say, at a five star hotel while relaxing by a pool that just take you breath away.
