The first weekend of Coachella'16 is now behind us. After the dust (hmm, is should be the sand) settles it was, as expected, an extravaganza with some great acts and some not so great ones, and of course a lot of people watching and parties, and yes! great fashion statements (and even an appearance from Bernie Sanders introducing Run the Jewels via video -- now that is weird!)

Yes! there is a big, big difference in the way we pack for vacation compared to a quick business trip. I am no exception. I spend a great deal of time mapping each day of impending vacations as I want to be prepared for each and every possible occasion or activity that may come along (with the right outfit and shoes of course...). So as you can imagine I do show up at the airport with a lot of luggage for vacation. When I am on a quick business trip, well it is a different story.

What do you think? I am trying a new platform for cross-posting, Set{that}. It is a cool design platform but it does have limitations, mainly lack of flexibility. But the text integration is great and it is really easy to use. Not sold on the visual result as collages go--

From the Fashion Runaways to Home Decor, Art Commercialism at its best

Remember the amazing Sophie Theallet Fall 2016 RTW collection from NYFW,  (well in case you don't, here is the link to my review of it). I continue to be obsessed with it, so as I was looking through my virtual clipboard for a new project, I realized that my obsession with the deeply feminine and uber classy style of her fall collection has somehow impacted my color palette preferences not for clothes but for furnishing and home decor. I am not that fond of either gray patterns or yellow shades, but live and learn as they say.
